Project Reverberate Launch Party
On June 2, 2010, public relations students from California State University, San Bernardino and rock vocalist Kara Aubrey helped the Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation kick off Project Reverberate, a dynamic new project of the Foundation to work with the Millennial Generation. Combining music, media and a powerful message, “To challenge a generation to “do well by doing good,” Project Reverberate will echo the sounds of hope across the country.
Joined by NFL star Lorenzo Neal and a host of celebrities, the event, which took place on the Target Terrace at LA Live, was attended by over 200 people from across Southern California, excited to support the Foundation in its new endeavor.
Official Mayoral Resolution
On February 3, 2009, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa presented Valerie Sobel and the Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation with an Official Resolution commending the Foundation.
It cited ASRL’s work: “providing invaluable financial assistance to single parent families with a critically ill child. Your commitment and dedication in helping by giving over 3.7 million in program assistance to over 9,000 family members are truly commendable.” Promerica Bank Chairwoman Maria Contreras-Sweet hosted the luncheon event at the bank’s Los Angeles headquarters.
