Meet Noah
Noah and his Mom had just finished their back to school shopping for Noah’s first day of kindergarten when the diagnosis came: he had a brain tumor. Everything changed. Rather than a new school, it was chemotherapy, radiation, hospital stays, pokes, prods, tests…and enormous stress for the family. They already lived on a budget while Mom stayed at home with her two sons and Dad worked. Then….Dad was suddenly laid off, their savings ran out…. and the mortgage was past due. When ASRL asked, “what do you need?” the answer was simple: “help us keep our home.” ASRL stepped in to pay the mortgage for three months while Dad looked for a new job and Mom stayed at Noah’s side. It was a long and fragile journey for this family, but today Noah is a healthy, energetic cancer survivor, Dad has a new job, and the family has their home.
