Valerie Sobel Honored by Harlequin More Than Words

Los Angeles, CA, January 12, 2010 ­­- Valerie Sobel, Founder and President of the Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation has been named a 2010 Harlequin More Than Words Award Winner. Now in its seventh year, Harlequin More Than Words honors ordinary women for their extraordinary commitment to women and the causes most dear to them. Harlequin Enterprises is proud to highlight the work of this year’s winners and the charitable and non-profit organizations they support.

Each year Harlequin Enterprises selects five women to receive the Harlequin More Than Words award from hundreds of nominations solicited from readers and the general public. Each recipient receives $10,000 to advance the work of her charity, and five of Harlequin’s bestselling authors donate their time and talent to write a novella inspired by the life and work of the recipients. The novellas are published in an anthology, with proceeds returned to the program to support more causes of concern to women.
