Meet Jessie

The situation for Jessie’s single mother was catastrophic.  Her young daughter Jessie was listed for a heart transplant.  She had two children and their father was in jail. Mom spent  all her rent money traveling to see her fragile child in the hospital and buying food.  Eviction proceedings began and the family faced homelessness.  In the face of medical, emotional and financial stress, ASRL assured Jessie’s Mom that her rent would be paid, her two other children had loving child care, they had food on the table, and their home was stable.  Jessie is now recovering from the surgery.
