Meet Alissa

Alissa is a seventeen year old girl who had just entered her senior year in high school when she was diagnosed with leukemia.  She has been raised by her grandmother because her mom and brother were killed in a car accident when she was just fifteen months old.  Her grandmother also cares for two adoptive children with special needs.  Due to Alissa’s treatment plan, the family needs to move closer to the hospital.  They have arranged for government subsidized housing, and ASRL provided them with the necessary moving funds.
