Meet Ashley

Ashley is a twelve year old girl with autism. She needs a special aide at school, in addition to her mom’s care giving at home.  Her single mom has two other adoptive children, both with serious health conditions, and it is not possible for Mom to work full time while caring for her children alone.  When Ashley’s family had to move from their rural community to a new town to be close to a major hospital and better care for Ashley, Mom could not afford both the first and last months’ rent and security deposit.  ASRL stepped in to assure that they had a stable household where the children were close to high-level medical care and the right school for Ashley.
